Both the statments are correct but the reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion.
As magnetic field at center of long solenoid, Bc=μonI

Magnetic field at any point on the axis inside the solenoid, B=μonI2(cosθ1+cosθ2)

Now for magnetic field at ends of long solenoid, θ1=0 and θ2=90

Thus, Be=μonI2(1+0)=μonI2

Hence, Be=12Bc
