Hydrogen is the first element of the periodic table and is represented as 11H where the superscript represents its mass number and subscript is the atomic number (number of protons). Therefore both are equal to one.
Also, mass number = number of neutrons (n) + number of protons
1=n+1 or n=0
Hydrogen has no neutron.
Therefore both statements are correct and the reason is the correct explanation to the assertion.
Hence, the correct option is (A)
