Oxidation state of Cr in Al2(Cr2O7)3 is +3
Therefore, (2×3)+(6×Cr)+(21×2)=0
+6+(6x)+(42)=0
6x36=0
6x=36
x=6.
Charge on Chromium ion is +6.
