Probability of solving the problem by A & B is
=1P(None of them can solve the problem)
=1P(¯A¯B)
=1P(¯A)P(¯B)
=1[1P(¯A)][1P(¯B)]
=145×35=1325
However the reason is true from the property of independent events.
