Reason: Roots of equation z2+4z+4i=0 is given by (z+2)2=44i=4(1i)
{z(2)}2=42eπ4i
z=2±2(214)eπ8i and product of real parts is (222) which shows that the reason is true.

Assertion: is true as the product of real parts of roots
=(2)2{12cos2π8}
=412(2+122)2=222
So assertion is derived from reason.
