Solution

The correct option is B Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion.
Nucleus of eukaryotic cells has five parts - Nuclear membrane, nucleoplasm, nuclear matrix, chromatin and nucleolus. Nucleoplasm, also called as karyoplasm or karyolymph is a colloidal complex that fills the nucleus. Nucleoplasm contains the raw materials for synthesis of DNA and RNA. The nuclear matrix is a network of proteinaceous fibrils which is thickened towards outside to form fibrous lamina in contact with the inner membrane. Chromatin is fibrous heredity material formed by DNA histone complex. Nucleolus is naked roughly rounded darkly stained structure that is attached to chromatin at specific spot called as nucleolar organising region or NOR.
