The value of K for a reaction may increase or decrease with increase in temperature depending upon whether the reaction is exothermic or endothermic. The decrease in temperature favours an exothermic reaction and increase in temperature favours an endothermic reaction.
With the increase in temperature, the extent of reaction increases. This is because the number of molecules having energy equal to or greater than the activation energy increases and the number of effective collisions increases.
