The faces at which the refraction's occur are parallel in a rectangular slab. At the first face, different wavelengths have different angles of refraction. However, on emergence from the second face, all the wavelengths are parallel to each other.while triangular prism's faces are at some angle.Because of this the rays suffer second refraction in such a way that rays disperse at higher angle.
Both are correct statement but reason is not true explanation of assertion.
