True.
In order to have same empty space the expansion, the total expansion of liquid must be equal to the the total expansion of vessel. So that the difference will remain the same.
Let the volume of vessel be V and liquid be v.
Empty space e=V−v
Now their volume is increases by x, so volume of container is V+x and liquid is v+x.
Empty space f=V+x−(v+x)=V−v=e
Reason is incorrect.
It remains same for all temperature .The coefficient of linear expansion depends only on the material an object is made from.
