Solution

The correct option is A Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion
Entry of water inside a cell starts develops a Turgor pressure which is exerted on the cell wall. This Turgor pressure makes the cell turgid. Against this a wall pressure is developed which is equal in magnitude that prevents the cell from bursting.
So the correct answer is 'Assertion and reason both are correct and the reason is the correct explaination for the assertion'.
