The phase angle for the LCR circuit is given by
tanϕ=XLXCR=ωL1/ωCR
Where XL,XC are inductive reactance and capacitive reactance respectively when XL>XC then tanϕ is positive i.e., ϕ is positive (between 0 and π/2 ) . Hence emf leads the current.
The phase angle is the angle between the alternating e.m.f. and alternating current of the circuit
hence option B is correct.
