Solution

The correct option is A Both Assertion and Reason are correct and Reason is the correct explanation for Assertion.
When an infected female Anopheles mosquito bites a healthy man, it pours its saliva into human blood before sucking the blood. Sporozoite is the infective stage of the parasite. After entering into the human body, the sporozoites enter into a liver cell. Here, it grows and becomes schizont. Within 8-9 days schizonts undergoes pre-erythocytic schizogony resulting in the formation of about 1000 merozoites or cryptozoites from each sporozoite. Now, the liver cells brust and cryptozoites are released in the liver sinusoids. The cryptozoites are immune to medicines.
