Question
Assume that for every increase in height of 1m, pressure decreases by 10 mm of Hg. Initially, an experimental air balloon of maximum 200L capacity has 150L air at 1atm at sea-level. At what height, the balloon is expected to burst?

Solution
The correct option is A15m above sea-level Let's assume that at 15m above sea level ballon will burst, to justify it calculate for volume of air in ballon as it's capacity is 200L
So at constant temp
P1V1=P2V2
760×150=(760−150)×V2 as the pressure will decrease upto 150mmHg at 15m height.
V2=207.27L
means our assumption was right, it will burst at 15m height above sea level.
