As we know,
Volume of 1 mole gas at NTP=22.4 litre
Volume of 1 mole of N2 molecules = Volume of molecule × Avagadro's number
=43πr3×6.023×1023
=43×3.14×(2×1010)3×6.023×1023
=20.2×106 m3=20.2 cm3
Empty space =2240020.2=22379.8 cm3
The percentage of empty space =22379.822400×100=99.9%
