At 12 noon the temperature was $38^{o} C$
and At 1 pm the temperature was $5^{o} C$ below the temperature at noon
So, At 1 pm temperature = $38^{o} C - 5^{o} C$
= $33^{o} C$
now, the difference between the two temperature = $38^{o} C - 33^{o} C = 5^{o} C$
Hence, the difference between the two temperature is $5^{o} C$
