Initially, there were 10 children present. When 15 more children joined, more chocolates were bought from the shop.
$\therefore$ This is a case of direct proportion.
Using the formula for direct proportion,
$\frac{Numberofchocolates}{Numberofchildren}=constant$
$\Rightarrow \frac{40}{10}=\frac{Totalnumberofchocolates}{25}$
$\therefore Totalnumberofchocolates=4\times 25=100$.

When 5 more children joined, the shop had been closed and the existing chocolates had to be distributed.
