Solution

All three of the food items, i.e. meat, fish, and vegetarian items come under one category which is ‘food’. Thus it can be represented by a big circle in which all three circles are located.
According to the question, some people only took fish while some only took meat. Some people took both of these. They can be represented by two circles which are intersecting because there were some people who took both meat and fish.
There were also some vegetarians who did not accept either meat or fish, so they can be represented by a circle that does not intersect with circles of either meat or fish.
Thus, the correct answer is option A.
