A line that intersects two other lines at two different points, is called a transversal.

Hence, for the intersection, one line must not be parallel to the other two lines.

However, the "other two lines" may or may not be parallel.
For example, the given figure depicts the situation.


Hence, at least two lines should not be parallel.
