At what distance from a concave mirror of focal length 25 cm shouldan object be placed so that the size of the image is equal to the size of the object

Open in App
Solution

The focal length of the mirror is 25 cm. Hence, the radius of curvature is 50 cm.

Now, a concave mirror forms an image of the same size as the object when the object is placed at the centre of curvature.
Therefore, the object distance should be 50 cm from the pole of the mirror

he object should be placed at the centre of curvature
i.e, at 2(focal length)
= 25*2
= 50 cm
