At what distance in front of a concave mirror of focal length 10 cm, an object be placed so that it's real image of size five times that of the object obtained?

1/u+1/v=1/f, u is the distance between object and mirror;v is the distance between image and the mirror; f is the focal length of the mirror

Given, f=10cm ;
,the magnification of the image v=5u

1/u+1/5u=1/10

u= 12 cm and v = 60 cm ( since v = 5u )

so place object at 12cm from the mirror and a magnified image of 5 times will appear at 60 cm from the mirror
