The correct option is A $16$ %
Simple Interest $(I) = \frac{P N R}{100}$
Now, Amount $= 2 P$ ....(given)
$∴ I + P = 2 P$
$∴ I = P$
$N = 6 \frac{1}{4} = \frac{25}{4} y e a r s$
So, $P = \frac{P \times \frac{25}{4} \times R}{100}$
$=> R = 16$ %
