At what stage of the cell cycle are histone proteins synthesised in a eukaryotic cell?
During S-phase
During the S phase or synthesis phase of interphase, replication of DNA and synthesis of histone proteins occur. During the G2 phase, synthesis of RNA and proteins continues which is required for cell growth.
Telophase is the final phase of cell division, between anaphase and interphase, in which the chromatids or chromosomes move to opposite ends of the cell and two nuclei are formed.
Prophase is when the chromatin condenses into rod-shaped structures called chromosomes in which the chromatin becomes visible.
