The correct option is A 2184
Velocity of sound in air at 0 C is, v0=330 m s1
Let the temperature at which the velocity of sound is thrice the value of v0, be T
So, vT=3×330=990 m s1
The temperature should be in kelvin (K) with 0 C=273 K
We know that,
vT

vTv0=T273

Given: vTv0=3

32=T273

T=273×9=2457 K

In Celsius scale, T=2457273=2184 C
