At which point or points is the electric field zero
The points at which the net electric field is zero are known as null points.
1. For the unlike charges, the electric field is zero outside of the smaller magnitude charge.
2. For like charges, the electric field will be zero closer to the smaller charge and will be along the line joining the two charges.
3. For opposite charges of equal magnitude, there will not be any zero electric fields.
Hence, at these points, the electric field is zero.
