Solution
The following consequences followed after the insult of Shivaji by Aurangzeb:
Shivaji escaped from Agra and declared himself an independent king. Then, he resumed his campaigns against the Mughals.
Prince Akbar rebelled against Aurangzeb and received support from the Marathas.
Aurangzeb could not remain silent. He personally managed campaigns in the Deccan against the Marathas who started guerrilla warfare, which was very difficult to suppress.
This led to endless war and exhaustion of Mughal treasury. Aurangzeb died in his Deccan Conquest naturally.
