From the given reading, it is clear that the mercury level rises to a temperature between 38℃ and 39℃
There is a 1℃ gap between them and the total number of divisions between them is 10.
Then one small division will read = 1/10 = 0.1 ℃.
Here, the mercury level is at 2nd division after 38℃ .
So, the reading of the given lab thermometer is (38 + 2 x 0.1) ℃ = 38.2 ℃.
Also, the normal human body temperature is 37℃.
Therefore Avinash is suffering from fever as his body temperature is 38.2 oC
