Solution

The correct option is A Ambystoma.
Axolotl is the larva of the Urodele Amphibia, Ambystoma. Axolotl larva is well known for retaining External Gills throughout life. The presence of External Gills is a larval characteristic which is permanently retained by Axolotl. It has three pairs of External Gills and four pairs of Gill-slits. Attaining sexual maturity at the larval stage (a phenomenon called as Neoteny) is also a striking characteristic feature of Axolotl larva. Axolotl larvae also have the power to regenerate their lost limbs.
