Part I - Definition

Physical change - A change in which no new substance is formed and only there is change in shape , size and state and color are termed as physical change. It can be reversed

Chemical change - A change in which new substances in form of products are formed due to occurrence of a chemical reaction is termed as chemical change. It cannot be reversed

Part II - Classification

Growing a tomato plant is a chemical change as it involves many chemical reaction and hormones which helps in the growth of plants. Plants undergo photosynthesis to manufacture their food which is one of the major reactions taking place. These changes in the plant cannot be reversed back.
