The given equation is $\square -\frac{1}{5}=\frac{1}{2}$.

To find the missing fraction we transfer $-\frac{1}{5}$ to the right-hand side of the equation.

Then the required fraction $=\frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{5}=\frac{5+2}{10}=\frac{7}{10}$

($\because -\frac{1}{5}$ will become $\frac{1}{5}$ when we transfer it to the other side of the equation)

So, $\frac{7}{10}-\frac{1}{5}=\frac{7-2}{10}=\frac{5}{10}=\frac{1}{2}$
