In a year, Seema earns Rs 1,50,000 and saves Rs 50,000. Find the ratio of:

Money that she saved to the money she spent.

Answer 1

Total earning = Rs 1,50,000

Saving = Rs 50,000

$\therefore$ Money spent = Total earning - Saving

= Rs 1,50,000 - Rs 50,000 = Rs 1,00,000

Ratio of money saved to money spend

= $\frac{Moneysaved}{Moneyspend}$

= $\frac{50000}{100000}=\frac{1}{2}=1:2$ [Dividing numerator and denominator by HCF of 50000 and 100000 i.e. 50000]
