The correct option is B i - bone marrow, ii - thymus gland
Lymphocytes are a type of WBC without granules in their cytoplasm i.e., they are agranulocytes. These cells provide immunity against pathogens that enter our body either by engulfing and killing them (phagocytosis) or by the production of specific proteins known as antibodies.

All lymphocytes are produced in the bone marrow. Bone marrow is the soft spongy tissue of the long bones that has haematopoietic stem cells in it. These stem cells have the capacity to divide and differentiate into all types of blood cells like RBCs, WBCs, platelets etc.

The lymphocytes produced in the bone marrow are immature. The immature lymphocytes undergo maturation and differentiate into antigen-sensitive lymphocytes which are capable of detecting the presence of antigens. Based on their site of maturation, lymphocytes have been categorised as:

• B-lymphocytes that mature in the bone marrow.

• T-lymphocytes that mature in the thymus (lobed organ located near the heart and beneath the breastbone).
