Name the type of the following triangle:

$Δ A B C$ with AB = 8.7 cm, AC = 7 cm and BC = 6 cm.

Solution

A triangle whose all sides are of different length is known as a Scalene triangle.
Hence the triangle ( $Δ A B C$ ) with sides AB = 8.7 cm, AC = 7 cm and BC = 6 cm, is a scalene triangle.
