Reaction of Diborane with Ammonia:

  1. Diborane basically reacts with Ammonia just to produce Borazine and Hydrogen.
  2. This whole reaction will take place at the temperature of 180°-190°C
  3. So, when Diborane reacts with Ammonia , an addition product will be formed when the further decomposition of the on heating at 473K for the formation of the volatile compound known as borazine.
  4. Basically, for the generation of Borazine, diborane will react with Ammonia.
  5. Reaction: B2H6+2NH3B2H6.2NH33B2H6+6NH32B3N3H6+12H2
