As, perimeter of rectangle $=2(\mathrm{l}+\mathrm{b})$

So, perimeter of plot $=2(400+200)$

$$\begin{gathered} =2\times 600 \\ =1200\mathrm{m} \end{gathered}$$

Step 2: Finding the perimeter of Saloni's square plot.

It is given that the side $\left(\mathrm{s}\right)$ of square plot $=300\mathrm{m}$

And perimeter of square $=4\times \mathrm{s}$

So,perimeter of square plot $=4\times 300$

$=1200\mathrm{m}$

Hence, both the plots have same perimeter.
