Given, earning of Bachhu Manjhi in 8 months = ₹24,000

a) Using unitary method in which first we find the value of one unit and then the value of the required number of units.

$\therefore$ Earning of Bachhu Manjhi in 1 month = $\frac{₹24000}{8}$ = $₹3000$
$\therefore$ His earning in 1 yr (12 months) = $₹3000\times 12$ = $₹36000$

b) Bachhu Manjhi earns ₹3000 = 1 month
He will earn $₹1=\frac{1}{3000}$ month.
He will earn $₹42000=\frac{1}{3000}\times 42000=14$ months.

Hence, he will earn ₹ 42000 in 14 months.
