Solution
Bacteria:
Bacteria are prokaryotic and unicellular organisms.
They do not have a membrane-bound nucleus and other cell organelles.
Bacterial cells do not have chloroplast thus they cannot perform photosynthesis(preparation of food with the help of sunlight, water and carbon dioxide.)
Within the cell membrane, reaction centres are present which absorb light energy.
These reaction centres are in the form of sacs or tubes or sheets depending on the surface area needed.
Cyanobacteria-
These bacterias are also called blue-green algae.
They are photosynthetic bacteria i.e they are able to prepare their food.
They are true prokaryotes but lack chloroplast.
They perform photosynthesis as they have chlorophyll pigment scattered in their cytoplasm.
They have flattened sac-like structures called 'thylakoids' where photosynthesis actually takes place.
