Solution

Hi,

Humans are more evolved cannot be simply answered on the basis of complexity. It means that its not always necessary that if an organism is more complexed than it is more evolved.

So complexity isn't a measure of "most evolved".

  • Humans and bacteria have both been evolving for the same 4 billion years.
  • Bacteria spent the time evolving characteristics that made them very hardy in almost any environment.
  • Both are well adapted to the ecological niches they exist in.
  • Both now co-exist.
A:

Complexity of body structure does not mean that the species is more evolved. Some similarities we may find such as:

1, Both bacteria and human beings are still evolving from 6 billion years.

2. They are well adapted to adverse environmental conditions.

Evolution cannot be equated with progress. We cannot say human beings with complex body form have evolved from lower organisms like bacteria.

Human beings are highly evolved organisms than bacteria.

Bacteria are unicellular organisms. These are prokaryotic cells where one organism is made up of one cell. A single cell performs all the life processes required by the organism which include nutrition, digestion, respiration, transportation, excretion and reproduction. Bacteria hence exhibit cellular grade of organisation.

Human beings are multicellular organisms made up of well developed eukaryotic cells. They exhibit organ system of organisation. i.e. Group of cells form a tissue, Group of tissues form an organ, Group of organs form an organ system and Group of organ systems form a complete organism. There occur division of labour in the body organisation. Human beings are highly evolved organisms with 11 well developed organ systems. Each organ system takes care of on eimportant life process which aids the organism to continue its life.

Hope this clears your doubt.

All the best !!
