Contractile vacuoles are structures found in eukaryotes like Amoeba and Paramecium. They are unicellular organisms. In these organisms, the waste materials are excreted out by contractile vacuole, an osmoregulatory structure. All the waste materials that dissolve in water are concentrated in the contractile vacuole which is then expelled out along with excess water. Contractile vacuole prevents a cell from absorbing too much water.
