Bose established the INA headquarters in Yangon and Singapore and began the training of recruits on 21 October 1943. For maximum efficiency, the INA was divided into several brigades like the ‘Gandhi Brigade’, ‘Azad Brigade’, ‘Nehru Brigade’. ‘Bal Fouj’ was formed for boys and girls who wanted to contribute to the national movement.
