As we know If masses are equal and collision is elastic, then velocities are exchanged.
After collision, block B will have velocity u=5 m/s in horizontal direction


Using equation of motion, sy=uyt+12ayt2 for motion of ball along y axis.
Given:
sy=h;ay=g and uy=0
(as initially, ball has velocity only along x axis)
h=0+12(g)t2
Time of flight t=2hg=2×2010=2 s
As horizontal component of velocity of ball B=u m/s
d=u×t=(5×2) m=10 m
