If the leaves have parallel arrangement of veins in lamina from from the base to the tip, it is known as parallel venation. Plants with fibrous roots have parallel venation. This is commonly found in plants such as banana, maize, rice, sugar cane and wheat.
If the leaves have web-like arrangement of veins on both side of the midrib, it is known as reticulate venation. The plants with tap root system have leaves with reticulate venation. Example: rose, carrot, radish, etc.
