Base surface area of a cylinder is 20 cm2 and its height is 10 cm. Find the volume of the cylinder.

Given that, the base surface area of a cylinder is 20 cm2 and its height is 10 cm.
To find out: The volume of the cylinder.

We know that, the base of a cylinder is a circle having area πr2
πr2=20....(1)

We also know that, the volume of a cylinder is πr2h
Volume of the given cylinder =πr2×(10)[ h=10]
From (1), we have πr2=20
Volume =20×10=200 cm3

Hence, the volume of the given cylinder is 200 cm3.
