Based on intermolecular force of attraction arrange solid, liquid and gas in ascending order.
The particles of matter attract each other. But as the intermolecular distance increases, the force of attraction decreases.
Solid particles are very closely packed i.e. intermolecular distance is negligible, while in liquid intermolecular distance is more. So, solids have more intermolecular forces of attraction.
In the case of gases, intermolecular distance is much more compared to solids and liquids and hence, gas particles experience least inter molecular force of attraction.
