(i) If Tom and Joy combined their comics, how many more or fewer comics would they have as compared to Sam’s comics?
(ii) If Tom gets 5 more comics, how many comics will he have?

(i) According to the bar graph,
Number of comics Tom has $=30$
Number of comics Joy has $=20$
Number of comics both of them have $=30+20=50$
Number of comics Sam has $=45$
$50-45=5$
So, the combined number of comics with Tom and Joy are $5$ more than that of Sam’s.
(ii) Number of comics Tom has $=30$
Number of new comics he gets $=5$
Number of comics he has now $=30+5=35$
Hence, Option D is the correct answer.
