Dear student,
Based on the union of different parts of stamen, they are classified into:
1. Adelphous: Here, the filaments are fused together, and the anthers are free.
a) Monoadephous: The filaments are fused into a single bundle. Eg Hibiscus.
b) Diadelphous: Filaments are fused into two bundles, eg Pisum
c) Polyadelphous: Filaments are fused into many bundles. eg: Citrus.
2. Syngenesious: Here, the anthers are fused, while the filaments remain free. Eg: Sunflower
3. Synandrous: All stamens are fused into one single bundle. eg Cucurbita.
Regards!
