Open in App
Solution

Cost of squid per kg = ₹50

Amount of money that Basheer had = ₹100

Money spent on squid = 14 of the total money
= 14 of ₹ 100
= 100 ÷ 4
= ₹25

Weight of squid that can be bought for ₹50 = 1 kg
Money spent by Bashir on squids = ₹25 = 12 of ₹ 50
Quantity of squid bought by Bashir = 12 of 1 Kg
= 12 kg
WEIGHT two half kg squids can be bought.
Price of each half kg squid will be ₹50 ÷ 2 = ₹25
So, weight of squid that can be bought for ₹25 is half kg i.e. 12 kg
