Cost of squid per kg = ₹50

Amount of money that Basheer had = ₹100

Money spent on squid = $\frac{1}{4}$ of the total money
= $\frac{1}{4}$ of ₹ 100
= 100 $÷$ 4
= ₹25

Weight of squid that can be bought for ₹50 = 1 kg
Money spent by Bashir on squids = ₹25 = $\frac{1}{2}$ of ₹ 50
Quantity of squid bought by Bashir = $\frac{1}{2}$ of 1 Kg
= $\frac{1}{2}$ kg
WEIGHT two half kg squids can be bought.
Price of each half kg squid will be ₹50 $÷$ 2 = ₹25
So, weight of squid that can be bought for ₹25 is half kg i.e. $\frac{1}{2}$ kg
