The correct option is A 2 kg

According to NTL of motion,

$F_b$ equal and opposite acts in a downward direction.

Balance reading now$=$Previous reading$+F_B$

$=1.5+v{e}_w\times g$

$=1.5+\frac{m}{d}\times e_w\times g$

$=1.5+\frac{0.5}{{10}^4}\times {10}^3\times 10$

$=1.5+0.5$

$=2N$

$\therefore$Balance reading$=1.5+0.5=2$kg.
