Crop rotation is the practice of growing different crops alternetively on the same piece of land to replenish soil nutrients.
Wheat, pea, mustard are Rabi crops while paddy (rice),soyabean are Kharif crops.
Pea and soyabean are leguminous plants which replenish the field with nitrogen. Thus the farmer can use pea plant which is a Rabi crop and soyabean which is a Kharif crop.
Roots of leguminous plants contain Rhizobium bacterium which converts atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia which the plants can easily absorb.
Thus due to this nitrogen fixing property of Rhizobium bacterium present in leguminous plants soil nitrogen is replinished.
