Solution

The correct option is A

100 × 1 + 10 × 2 + 8

If we consider B = 1 ; then A1 × 6 = 111 , which is not possible,since no multiple of 6 ends with 1 , therefore this is not possible
If we consider B = 2 ; then A2 × 6 = 222
When we consider the ten's place , we have A6 + 1 = 22
A6 = 21 ( which is not divisible by 6)
Hence B 2

If we consider B = 3 , we have A3 × 6 = 333 ; No multiple of 6 ends with 3 , therefore this is not possible

If we consider B = 4 , we have A4× 6 = 444,
In the units's place , we have 4 × 6 = 24, hence 4 in the units place and carry over 2 to the ten's place

In the ten's place , we have A× 6 + 2 = 44 ; A6 = 42 A = 7

Hence the values of A and B are 7 and 4 respectively
